Shannon concentrates her practice in the area of commercial real estate transactions and development. Since 2004, Shannon has represented developers and property owners in the acquisition, disposition, financing, development and leasing of office, retail, hotel and industrial properties, single-family subdivisions and multi-family developments. Shannon routinely represents clients in the formation of homeowner associations and property owner associations, the preparation of declarations of covenants for single-family and commercial properties, and the platting of residential and commercial subdivisions. She also represents borrowers and lenders in acquisition, construction and permanent financing transactions.
In addition to her commercial real estate practice, Shannon represents clients with respect to professional and business licenses, including broker and contractor licenses. She assists clients with obtaining an initial license, maintaining or amending an existing license, and structuring business entities to comply with licensure laws and rules. She also has significant experience in forming real estate businesses.
Prior to joining Petitt Worrell, Shannon was a shareholder at Smolker, Bartlett, Loeb, Hinds & Sheppard, P.A. Prior to that, she practiced law at an “AmLaw 100” law firm in Atlanta, Georgia and worked in-house for a public REIT.
